Schweinitz's Earth Star
Inedible
A small, gregarious species, up to 2
cm in diameter when open, growing in leaf litter or on decaying wood. The
species is globose at first, the outer shell splitting into 5 recurved rays.
This is the smallest of our Earth Stars and the only one growing gregariously.
